So, my finger to show that I am 8 months is hiding! But I like this one best so I'll deal!

Eight and 1/2 months
Not much new to report from last month to this month. Just getting harder to sleep long periods and losing energy at a rapid rate! Oh and of course the heartburn is mostly uncontrolled. Just looking forward to meeting the baby and ready to eat with no burning sensation in my entire chest cavity!

I'll admit it...
...I'm scared! Yep, that's right, I'm scared. Scared of so many things right now I don't even know where to start. So I figured I'd write them all down and get them out of my head and into yours....you're welcome! As you might imagine, all of my fears surround the addition of one little, tiny being. I think I'll just list them and get it over with.
1. Scared of delivery-not the pain so much, just the unknown, doubting if I can do it, how long, where will Eleanor be, is hypnobirthing really as easy as the book says, have I practiced enough, are my emotions about my situation going to leak in and hinder my progress???
2. Scared of bringing home baby-the dynamic from 1 to 2 is so different (well at least I think it will be), will E feel just as loved, will she get jealous, will I sleep, will E get aggressive towards the baby, will this be a "good" baby or like E, do you really love the second as much as the first, will I lose my mind completely?
3. Scared of doing it alone-I know my family is here and I'm so thankful for that, it's just not the same, can I really raise two kids on my own, am I strong enough, can I deal with the emotions, will he be able to bond with the new baby??
There it is. All my fears about having a second baby. I know so many mothers must have some of the same concerns and some could never imagine what I'm about to go through. If you're reading this, please send me some prayers, good energy, good thoughts or anything ya got to help me through this time. I really don't want to take all of this negative energy into the delivery room with me! Thanks in advance :)

Fall Fun
October has been very busy for Eleanor and I! First, we went to visit family in Washington, IL. It was so much fun hanging out with all the kids. Melissa and I got in some serious girl time! On Saturday, the whole family (minus a few kids and a husband, they were missed) came to Rick & Melissa's. We went to Reece's soccer game then back to the house for some all day snacking and catching up. All in all the trip was wonderful. We even got to see the Chicago Dunbars! But, that was the last trip I'll be taking with only one child, weird! Don't think I could have pushed it much further though, Eleanor barely had a lap to sit on. Here are a few of my favs from the trip.
Today we went to Szlay's, a local farmers market in the valley. Eleanor loved all the pumpkins. She even had a whole ear of roasted sweet corn all to herself! I ended the day with a bowl of Strickland's ice cream. Not a bad Sunday at all!

Macey and E watching soccer...or the camera :)
Testing out Macey's new big girl bed
The next few are at Ackerman Farm, the kids had a blast!
Saying goodbye, although they look happy it was pretty sad to part.

October also marks a month of firsts....the first time Eleanor spent the night with her daddy. I was hoping that she would do well and she did. All in all it went well. Except for the fact that I cried like a baby when she left. It is another milestone in my separation, one that I wasn't quite prepared for I guess. On the bright side, E came home earlier than regular Sundays and we all got to have a great afternoon. Matt and I decided she would spend every other Saturday night with him, the come home in the afternoon and on the other Sundays, spend all day with him. I know they both enjoy spending time together and my daughter's happiness is above everything else.

Seven Months
Well, as soon as I write my last post my lovely sister sends me a few preggo pics so here they are:
Wow, seven months! How did that happen so fast?? This month has been pretty good. The belly pressure is increased and I'm definitely slowing down. And now the waddling is full on, if I relax my body even one little hair, it's waddle waddle waddle! These hips are widening and that's ok! Of course, the heart burn is outrageous but that's to be expected I guess. After experiencing Kelly's birth, I'm more interested in hypnobirthing. So, I have been listening to some relaxation CDs and I'm planning on reading the book...sooner rather than later! This sweet baby is a mover and a shaker just like Eleanor was. In fact, these two pregnancies are pretty much identical! Could this mean pink?? We'll soon find out...
No camera blues
Well, I've been home for a week now and it's sad that I haven't posted any pictures. Plus, I'm 10 days shy of eight months pregnant and no seven month post yet! I have a few very good excuses for this:
1. Cakes, cakes and more cakes! I've been so busy each week with three cakes I haven't had the time or energy to blog. Check it out www.sweetpeaslittlebakeshop.blogspot.com.
2. Getting the house baby ready has taken up the time since cakes. My parents and I have organized this house and we got all of Eleanor's baby stuff out to go through. It's all sitting on a table in the basement, just staring at me, waiting to be organized and washed and put away!
3. Yet another trip. Eleanor and I are going to see our family in Washington, IL and Chicago! I'll be gone this Thursday through the following Tuesday.
4. The most important reason: no camera = no pictures! My mom became overjoyed at being in the ocean and had to jump right in. Good for her, bad for my camera which was stuck in her suit strap! My sweet little camera went swimmy swimmy in the Atlantic and the Atlantic won. Luckily, the memory card and battery still work just fine. My mom has since replaced the camera. Then while we were in Cincinnati, we left mom's camera at Kelly's house. This was sort of my fault. John brought it out and asked it was mom's, I said no, that it was Kelly's. They have the same one. But, it was indeed mom's. The majority of the pictures were taken with mom's camera!
I hope to have a few new blog posts up with lots of pictures soon! We had a wonderful vacation and we're going to book for next year. Hopefully, Kelly, Nick and Teddy will be joining us too!
